Tour the enchanting Hearst Castle in San Simeon, the historic private estate built by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst in the early 1900s. Completed in 1947, Hearst Castle is one of the world's greatest estates and showplaces. Situated on 127 acres of land nestled on top of the San Simeon hillside of the Santa Lucia Mountains,

Hearst Castle consists of 165 rooms, unique artifacts, Renaissance art, ornate swimming pools, fanciful gardens and walkways. The estate's magnificent main house - Casa Grande - and three guest houses are of Mediterranean Revival style, and the imposing towers of Casa Grande were inspired by a Spanish cathedral. Kayak Tour with Lunch
Come to Morro Bay and experience a serene kayak tour in our bay with the outmost experience from Central Coast Outdoors. Whether it be the seals out on the docks or the birds taking flight from the top of the estuary, kayaking in Morro Bay brings the wildlife to you!

This kayak tour includes 2-2.5 hours of paddle time (4-4.5 hours total tour time) and an experience that you will talk about for a long time. Unlike launching in the main part of Embarcadero, Central Coast Outdoors launches their privately owned kayaks from the Morro Bay State Park Marina offering an easy escape to the Sandspit and back bay. During the tour you can expect to visit an oyster farm, view marine wildlife, paddle with hundreds of species of birds flying around you (some endangered), and stop on the sandspit for a short walk to the edge of the ocean where miles of beautiful, well respected, beach lies. Before returning to the land for Lunch and drinks. For you enjoyment lunch is prepared with every effort to provide you with organic and locally grown food.

Did you know that Morro Bay is located just minutes away from the Paso Robles Wine Country?  Well, what better way to experience California’s Central Coast then by visiting as many of its prized possessions as possible; who wouldn’t want to see the beautiful wine country nestled up in the often green hilltops of the Paso Robles?

In 2004 Coy and Sarah Barnes both shared a love for wine and people.  They took their knowledge of wine (tasting and growing) and opened The Wine Wrangler.  The Wine Wrangler, now practically a celebrity of wine touring in the area, offers a growing variety of fun and educational tours.


Our Wine Touring Package includes a trip for 2 adults with The Wine Wrangler.  The Wine Wrangler arrives at the hotel around 930am with a comfortable air conditioned shuttle. Over the course of the day you will visit 4-6 wineries and enjoy a vineyard lunch (deli sandwich, pasta salad, fruit salad, and dessert – Vegetarian available upon request).  .Requests for certain wineries are considered, if made at time of reservation.

 

Stay and Play Golf 

Opened in 1925, This must play golf course is the perfect outing to include in your visit to Morro Bay.  The course features 6,360 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71.  The Morro Bay Golf Course’s course rating is 70.4 with a slope rating of 118 on kikuyu grass.

The mountain side course is located in Morro Bay State Park and Estuary at the base of Black Hill making it the perfect place to catch a glimpse of wildlife and get a little birding in all at the same time!  The course offers fantastic views of the bay, estuary, Morro Rock, and ocean at practically every hole and is often referred by many as the “Poor Man’s Pebble Beach.”
